The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held five targeted draws on March 25, 2026, issuing a total of 1,112 invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates with job offers in high-demand occupations across different regions of the province.
The draws targeted candidates under the province’s Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker (FW), International Student (IS), and In-Demand Skills (IDS) streams. To have been invited, candidates must have declared that they are currently residing in Canada with a valid work or study permit.

This is the province’s fourth set of invitation rounds in 2026, following draws held on February 2, February 18, and March 18.
Draw details
The OINP issued ITAs across five regions of Ontario: the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Southwestern Ontario, Central Ontario (excluding the GTA), Eastern Ontario, and Northern Ontario.
Candidates with qualifying scores and job offers in the GTA were issued the most invitations (431), while those in Northern Ontario received the fewest (57).
The number of invitations, streams targeted, and minimum scores required under each stream varied by region:
| Region | Streams | Total invitations | Foreign Worker min. score | International Student min. score | In-Demand Skills min. score |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Greater Toronto Area (GTA) | FW, IS | 431 | 61 | 90 | — |
| Southwestern Ontario | FW, IS | 251 | 53 | 81 | — |
| Central Ontario (excl. GTA) | FW, IS, IDS | 199 | 55 | 82 | 32 |
| Eastern Ontario | FW, IS. IDS | 174 | 57 | 83 | — |
| Northern Ontario | FW, IS | 57 | 54 | 80 | — |
Eligible profiles must have been created and attested to (supported by a job offer from an eligible employer) by March 23, 2026 (11:59 p.m.). Profiles created before July 2, 2025, were not considered.
The In-Demand Skills stream was used only in the Eastern and Central Ontario (excluding the GTA) draws to issue invitations to candidates with qualifying scores and a job offer as a home support worker (NOC 44101).
Which occupations were targeted?
Each regional draw targeted different National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes, with health care, technology, business administration, and trades-related roles featured across multiple regions.
The GTA draw focused heavily on technology and health care occupations, with roles such as software engineers, web developers, and registered nurses among those targeted.
Outside the GTA, draws covered a wider range of occupations, including administrative officers, physiotherapists, licensed practical nurses, and various trades supervisors.

Next steps
Employers of selected candidates must review the employer guide and submit a complete application for approval of an employment position within 14 calendar days from the date of invitation.
Simultaneously, invited candidates must submit their OINP application within 17 calendar days of receiving the ITA.
After receiving a provincial nomination from Ontario, successful nominees can then apply to the federal government for permanent residence (PR).
Changes coming to the OINP
These draws come as Ontario prepares for a complete overhaul of its immigration streams.
Legal changes to the Ontario Immigration Act are set to take effect on May 30, 2026, revoking all existing categories of applicants eligible for a certificate of nomination — including the Foreign Worker, International Student, and In-Demand Skills categories used in these draws.
The province has proposed replacing the current streams with a consolidated Employer Job Offer stream (with two pathways based on skill level), along with three new streams:
- A priority health care stream;
- An entrepreneur stream; and
- An exceptional talent stream.
The OINP has not yet confirmed when these new streams will launch or whether existing candidates will be transitioned.
