Entering Canada through an Intra-Company Transfer work permit

Getting a high-profile job offer in Canada under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program

Mindy Cho is an operations professional who has worked with a leading grocery store chain in different parts of the world, including China, France, and the United Kingdom.

Having worked 15 years, she is headhunted for the role of vice president of operations (NOC 00014) at a grocery store chain in Canada that specializes in international food brands.

The company organizes for her to move to Canada under the high-wage stream of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP). She works in Canada for two years under this program.

Study to PR Pathway

Faiz Rahman is a single 40-year-old working professional with 12 years of experience working in Singapore as a real estate developer.

Faiz moves to Canada to pursue a master’s of Business Administration (MBA), also taking the opportunity to visit his sister, Aisha, a Canadian permanent resident.

Moving to Canada through a Spousal Open Work Permit

Emmanuel Mensa is a married 35-year-old human resources professional from Ghana.

Emmanuel has a two-year post-secondary credential from Ghana and nine years of experience working in Human Resources. Over the course of his career, he advanced to the role of senior HR manager. He has advanced English proficiency (CLB 9).

Emmanuel moved to Canada after his wife received a tenure-track job offer as a professor at a Canadian university. Because her occupation is classified as TEER 1, Emmanuel was eligible for a Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP), allowing him to accompany her to Canada and work without restriction to a single employer.

After arriving in Canada, Emmanuel secured a position as vice president of human resources at a Canadian bank (NOC00012), where he now has one year of Canadian work experience.

His wife holds a PhD and has advanced English proficiency (CLB 10). She also has one year of Canadian work experience as a university professor.
