Canada has issued another major batch of permanent residency invitations, marking one of the largest healthcare-focused selection rounds seen in 2025.
The latest Express Entry draw, conducted on November 14, invited 3,500 candidates under the healthcare and social services occupations category.
This category-based selection round targeted skilled professionals whose training and experience are urgently needed across Canada’s health and community care systems.
This draw invited candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 462.

With 3,500 invitations issued today, this is one of the biggest healthcare-category draws since category-based selection was launched.
The cut-off CRS score of 462 indicates a competitive yet accessible threshold as compared to CEC draws, where the cutoff is around 533.
With talent shortages intensifying, Canada continues to prioritize occupations critical to public health, senior care, hospital operations, mental health, and front-line support.
To receive an invitation in today’s draw, candidates had to meet the following eligibility conditions:
- Must have at least six months of full-time, continuous work experience within the last three years. Remember, an overall minimum of 1 year of experience is mandatory in any skilled occupation to meet the general Express Entry requirement.
- Experience must be in one of the healthcare or social services occupations listed for the category
- Experience can be inside Canada or abroad
- Experience must be in a single eligible occupation, even if the applicant’s primary Express Entry occupation is different
This pathway recognizes the complexity of healthcare training and practice.
Many applicants may work in a variety of roles over the course of their careers, but as long as they meet the minimum experience requirement in one qualifying occupation, they remain eligible.

Those who received an invitation today must now submit a complete permanent residence application within 60 days.
This includes identity documents, police certificates, medical exams, proof of funds if applicable, educational assessments, and detailed employment history.
Processing times for Express Entry permanent residence applications currently range from six to eight months in most cases.
The November 14 healthcare-focused Express Entry draw marks another major step in Canada’s plan to strengthen its healthcare workforce.
